Day 6 of 100 Days of Bible Promises

I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get this post up. I was out of town for a couple of days training on some software for my job. I came back got some sleep in my bed and was off again for my son's graduation in North Carolina. Returned home late Sunday night and headed back to work on Monday morning. I am starting to get caught up but am ready to be in the Lord's word again.

Day 6 tell us to not worry.

Philippians 4:6
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving     let your requests be made known to God.

I consistently have to remind myself to quit worrying and give my worries to God. He will take care of everything in His time.

As I was thinking of how I wanted to journal my page, I came across a challenge from Shanna Noel in the Scrap Gals Community on Facebook for International Scrapbook Day. She wanted us to create something using a rainbow. She was inspired by one of the Illustrated Faith designers tutorials earlier in the week using bubble wrap and paint, so I decided to try this myself. Of course, all I could find in my house was big bubble wrap. Here is a link to the blog post https://www.illustratedfaith.com/mixed-media-bible-journaling-tutorial-bubble-wrapping-the-rainbow-genesis-9/

I just pressed the bubble wrap down to get a little texture on my page and then used my heat gun to warm it up. The stamp set, paper and inks below came from Close To My Heart and the letter stickers came from Creative Memories.
I outlined the donut with my Illustrated Faith pen along with writing on the paper. The rejoice sticker and coffee/donut clip also came from one of the Illustrated Faith sets
I have to say that this is one of my favorite pages and I just let go.

Thanks for taking a look at how I am sharing in the Lord and I would love your comments and thoughts. Have a blessed evening.

Day 5 of 100 Days of Bible Promises

Day 5 reminds us that your desires are God's purpose.

Psalm 37:4
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

As I sit here pondering over today's verse, I know I have given my heart to Him. I can't wait to see the desires he fulfills for me. I know he has started with blessing me with a trip to Disney that is paid for but even better, this will be a great time to help the boys know about the Lord.

These are all things that bring delight to me. They include an Illustrated Faith die cut and clear cuts, a napkin and some scrapbook supplies that I had lying around.

Day 4 of 100 Days of Bible Promises

Day 4 reminds us to Be Still

Psalms 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exhalted among the heathen, I will be exhalted in the earth.

How often do you just sit, relax and delight in the Lord? I try to do this several times a day, especially to thank him for all that he has given me. But I do not just sit quietly, while doing nothing, and consider what he has to say. This is something I must start doing a lot more often.

This page was done with a napkin and an image from a print and pray from Illustrated Faith.

Day 3 of 100 Days of Bible Promises

Day 3 of the devotional covers Nothing is too difficult for God

Jeremiah 32:27
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

Being a new child of God, trusting in the Lord is sometimes difficult. But I must trust that he will being me through as long as I will rest in His care, trust in His provision and look with anticipation on how things will turn out because He is God.

I started my page trying to paint a galaxy with watercolors because creating the world would of course be one of the hardest things to ever do. While the galaxy didn't look awful, I was not a huge fan. I then remembered I had a coloring page of Earth held in a hand, wouldn't that look wonderful on that page? And letter stickers to stand out with the sentiment of the verse.

I have so much to learn but I know this devotional will help me immensely. I hope you will join me and share your days.

Day 2 of 100 Days of Bible Promises

This devotional started on April 3rd, so I am working on getting caught up.
Day 2 is Don't be Afraid.
Isaiah 41:10 fear thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will uphold thee with thy right hand of my righteousness.
As a child of God oh, he will always be there for us.
What are you afraid of? Will you hand that over to God? I am afraid of not doing a perfect job with my crafts and also not succeeding in my part time business but have decided to just not worry about it and just share what I do.

Day 1 of 100 Days of Bible Promises

I have committed to participating in the 100 Days of Bible Promises - A Devotional Journal by Shanna Noel from Illustrated Faith. Why? Because I want to have a deeper relationship with God.
Day 1 is about His Grace.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Do not look at your weakness as something to keep you down but know that you are strengthened by the Lord.
I hope you will join me in this journey as I learn more about God and myself.

Bible Journaling Note Taking

I love all of the Bible art journaling I see on Facebook, YouTube and other social media channels. But I have been struggling on where to start and what I wanted to include.

I decided to put some of my notebooks to use for this. I put some alphabet stickers on my notebook so I can keep track of the devotional I am working on. While reading through the devotional, I will be writing down notes and letting God talk to me. From these notes will come my art while I learn the verses.
